London Domestic Violence Summit

The Home Secretary, Rt Hon. Theresa May MP, is set to speak to an audience of schools, charities, organisations and businesses in Chiswick this Wednesday as part of a major event on domestic violence, organised by local MP Mary Macleod.

Another big fall in local unemployment

Local MP Mary Macleod has welcomed new figures showing big falls in unemployment locally. Now just 2.5% of people in the Brentford and Isleworth constituency are claiming Job Seekers Allowance, and just 2.8% of young people.

Communities Secretary visits Brentford new school site

Last week, local MP Mary Macleod took the Communities Secretary, Rt Hon. Eric Pickles MP, on a tour organised with ISIS Waterside Regeneration around Brentford to see regeneration sites and the possible location of a new school. The potential school site, at Commerce Road in Brentford, has been championed by Mary and she has been working hard with stakeholders to get action.

Huge Jobs Fair attracts thousands

Last week over 40 employers assembled at West Thames College in Isleworth for the Aspire Skills Show Experience, supported by Mary Macleod MP, Heathrow, Jobcentre Plus and Premier Inn.
