During her time in Parliament as the MP for Brentford and Isleworth from 2010-2015 Mary's key achievements were:

  • Getting Government agreement to 4 new schools in the constituency
  • Setting up an annual Jobs and Apprenticeships Fair in Isleworth
  • Creating an annual Volunteering Awards for the Borough
  • Creating an action group to improve Gunnersbury tube/train station in Chiswick
  • Organising small business start-up seminars in Hounslow and Brentford
  • Obtaining £1.25m government funding for the London Air Ambulance
  • Being a vocal, visible and responsive MP, working across all communities - she worked on over 21,000 individual residents' cases,held  over 189 advice surgeries across the constituency and met with over 700 businesses, charities and schools

During the same time, there were a number of positive pieces of news for residents in the constituency:

  • Unemployment went down by 38% and youth unemployment went down to just 265 people in May 2015
  • Crime went down by 16%
  • 9,400 new businesses were started
  • There were record number of apprenticeships created
